KEY ATTRACTIONS
Among the park´s many attractions are the picturesque Karuru and Chania waterfalls. Seeing the park´s wildlife, which includes elephants, buffalo, leopards and the uncommon bongo antelope, is one of the park´s main attractions. More than 250 bird species are available for bird-watching, with the endangered Aberdare cisticola among them. The park is made even more appealing by the trout fishing available in the rivers and the stunning vistas and hiking opportunities found on the moorland.

CLIMATE
The weather in the park is gloomy and chilly with temperatures between 7 and 20 (degrees Celsius). There is a lot of rain, particularly in the months of March to June and October to November. Visitors are urged to dress warmly and be ready for abrupt weather changes due to the area´s wet, cool climate.
