TERMS & CONDITIONS

It is important that you read our terms and conditions, because once we  receive your payments, its assumed that you have read and understood our terms and conditions.

TRANSPORTATION

Safari vans, 4 x 4 Land Cruisers or coaches will be provided, depending on the tour vehicle you have chosen.

PRICES

Our published prices are based on costs prevailing at the time of publication of this document. They are subject to change at any time before booking is made. We reserve the right to increase or decrease published prices at any time before your booking is made. You will be given the correct current price at the time of booking.

Prices  may change based on the  current  exchange  rates of exchange and are subject to variation if there are increases due to Government action, Value Added Tax, increases in transportation costs or fuel prices, airfares or hotel rates.

RATES

Rates include but are not limited to the following services specified in the itinerary. Accommodation with meals, tours, transport, driver / guide, park entrance fees, portage and hotel taxes and service charges.

Rates exclude airport taxes, visas, beverages, laundry, telephone calls, scheduled flights. Tips & Gratuities and all other expenses of personal nature or any other activity mentioned as optional in the itinerary.

Prices may vary from those published or on website but current prices will be quoted at the time of booking.

All prices are quoted in US Dollars, unless otherwise stated. Payment is accepted at the rate of exchange at the time of receipt of payment. Bank charges are for the account of the remitter.

RESERVATION/PAYMENTS & DEPOSITS

A binding contract between you and Lilac Roller Safaris, comes into existence once we have accepted your booking by issuing an invoice or payment link through PayPal, or  Email, or Bank Transfers(swift)

We require 50% (high season) or 35% (low season) deposit at the time of booking and the remainder is due 30 days before commencement of the arrangements.

If the reservation is made within 45 days of departure the whole amount must be paid at the time of confirmation.

If payment is not received within the above time scales, we reserve the right to treat your booking as having been cancelled by you, and apply cancellation charges as set by the company.

CANCELLATION

Although it rarely happens and we shall do our utmost to avoid doing so, we reserve the right to cancel arrangements. If this should happen, other than due to default in payment, we will offer the choice of alternative arrangement (and paying or receiving a refund in respect of any price difference) or receiving a full refund of all the monies paid. If we are forced to curtail a tour after departure to circumstances amounting to force majeure, we regret we cannot make any refunds or pay any compensation or be responsible for any costs or expenses incurred by you as a result.

LIABILITY

Lilac Roller Safaris and its agents act only as agents of the tours, transport, etc. and shall not be liable for injury, delays, loss or damage in any form.

The company’s liability to passengers carried in its own vehicle is governed by the laws of the country in which the tour takes place and no other country. All claims are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of the country in which the action arises. The company reserves the right to employ subcontractors for all or part of the services. The company shall not be held responsible for any loss or damages to luggage.

It is MANDATORY and a condition for booking a safari with Lilac Roller Safaris, that it is the guest’s sole responsibility to ensure that they have current, valid and comprehensive TRAVEL INSURANCE & MEDICAL INSURANCE to cover themselves and any dependents or companions travelling with them.

The guest undertakes to take comprehensive travel insurance to cover his/her personal requirements. This insurance should include/cover in the respect of, but not limited to, the following eventualities: cancellation and curtailment of the safari and services booked, emergency evacuation expenses, medical expenses, repatriation expenses, damage/theft/loss of personal baggage, money and goods.

While every care is taken, Lilac Roller Safari, including their representatives, employees and agents will take no responsibility for any costs, losses incurred or suffered by the guests, or guest’s dependents or traveling companions, with regards to, but not limited to, any of the above mentioned eventualities. Guests will be charged directly by the relevant service providers for any emergency services they may require.

Some of the places you will visit on your tour, optional activities furnished by other independent suppliers who are not affiliated with, Lilac Roller Safaris in any way will be available. Some of them carry with various inherent risks, including that of attack by wild animals, which can cause serious personal injury. These activities, are but not necessarily limited to:

You should be aware that, although precautions are taken by the suppliers to guard against such dangers, YOUR SAFETY CANNOT BE GUARANTEED. Should you select to participate in such activities while you are on your tour, you are, of course, free to do so. However, you must understand that such participation will be at your own risk and that Lilac Roller Safaris can assume no responsibility for your safety.

It is the Traveler’s  responsibility to ensure that their passport, visa, health certificates, inoculations, or other documentation required for the trip are obtained, valid and that are all in order. Malaria and Yellow Fever are endemic in some parts of Africa and precautions must be taken. It is recommended you visit your primary physician or local travel clinic to review any medications or recommended inoculations. Be sure to carry your inoculation certificate with you as proof of inoculations. If you are concerned about taking any medications, check with your physician before you book your safari.

ITINERARIES

Whilst every effort is made to adhere to confirmed itineraries Lilac Roller Safaris reserves the right to make reasonable changes in the itinerary when deemed advisable for the comfort and safety of guests, which includes but is not limited to: the substitution of hotels, alteration of the itinerary, and reversing the order of the places to be visited.

Lilac Roller Safaris also reserves the right to employ subcontractors to carry out all or any part of the services agreed upon.

WILDLIFE VIEWING

When it comes to game viewing, please be advised there are no guarantees nor does Lilac Roller Safari guarantee the viewing of 100% of all the animal and bird species found in Kenya.

COMPLAINTS

Any complaints that may arise during the safari should be communicated immediately to your tour manager (in writing, via email/ WhatsApp) for on-site attention, verification and immediate correction.

If the complaint is not addressed on site, a summary of the complaint should be communicated to the company in writing within 30 days of completion of the safari tour for the necessary action.

The complaints/issues raised shall be investigated and addressed within 15 days of formal receipt of the complaint/issue.
